Delete your data - shary
Applies to the app shary
(net.nestwerk.mentalload), provided by Matthias Gattringer.
You can permanently delete your household and everything stored in it at
any time. There are two ways, and both delete the same thing.
Option 1: In the app, immediately
- Open shary.
- Tap More in the bottom right.
- Scroll down to Delete all data.
- Confirm the safety prompt.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. It covers the
entire household, including the other parent's device. All
access tokens of the household become invalid.
Option 2: By email, if you no longer have the app
Write to office@heyshary.com
with the subject "Data deletion" and include your
support code so we delete the right household. You find
it in the app under "More", and it appears in every reply you have ever
received from us.
Without the app and without a support code we cannot identify your
household with certainty, and we will not delete anything, because we
might otherwise erase another family's data. Write to us anyway and we
will look for a way together.
We handle requests within 30 days and confirm the
deletion to you.
What gets deleted
Everything that belongs to the household:
- Children with names, dates of birth, sizes
- Health data: allergies, blood type, vaccinations, medication and the
medication log
- Doctors, insurance details, emergency contacts
- Appointments, tasks, recurring routines, weekly plan
- Shopping list, meal plan, checklists, birthdays, gift ideas
- ID documents and uploaded document photos, including the files on the
server
- Every device of the household and its access token
- The optional recovery email address
- The stored purchase token of the subscription
What is kept, and for how long
- Problem reports you sent via "More - Report a
problem" are kept at first. They are tied to your support code rather
than to the household, because otherwise we could no longer answer an
open case. We delete them once the case is closed, at the latest
after 12 months. Ask us in your email if you want
them gone right away.
- Database backups are overwritten
within 30 days. Until then a copy of your data may
sit in a backup that would only ever be restored in a disaster.
- Your Google Play subscription. Deleting your data
does not cancel a running subscription. You do that in the Play Store
under "Payments and subscriptions". Whatever Google stores about your
purchase is subject to Google's own retention rules, which we cannot
influence.
We never share any of this data with third parties and never use it for
advertising. The server is located in Austria.
