This holds your children's allergies, vaccinations and insurance details. That deserves care. The best protection is not collecting things in the first place.

Signing up needs neither an email address nor a password, because neither exists here. So nothing can be guessed, phished, or reused from another service's data breach. You connect through an invite code, and you can reissue that code at any time.

Encrypted at rest

Allergies, blood type, vaccinations, medication, doctor, insurance and ID details as well as emergency contacts are stored encrypted in the database, not in plain text. Everything travels over HTTPS only, and the server sits in Austria.

Push without content

When the other phone needs a nudge, only an empty ring goes through Google, without a single word about you. The app then fetches the actual data straight from us. Google only learns that something changed, never what.

Your household only

Every request is tied to your household. There is no way through the app to see another household's data. And you can delete everything, completely, whenever you want.

Your data sits on a server in Austria, encrypted. Allergies, vaccinations, medication, insurance and ID details and the task texts too are not stored in the clear. And we only ask for what the app genuinely needs in the first place.

shary knows the national check-up schedule, the childhood vaccination plan and the deadlines around them. From your child's birth date it works out what is due when, and speaks up in time. You don't enter any of it, it is already in there.

82 rules in Austria, 80 in Germany, 72 in the UK: official deadlines, seasonal reminders, vaccinations, health topics, childcare, check-ups and development steps. Which ones apply is decided by the country you pick during setup, so nobody gets appointments that don't exist where they live.

Why shary exists

The idea came from my wife

She was the one who named what was going wrong for us. I didn't get it at first. I thought we were splitting the work anyway.

Until it clicked what this is actually about: not the work itself, but having to think of it. Whoever packs the gym bag isn't the problem. Whoever remembers it needs packing is. And that almost always sticks with one person, without anyone meaning it to.

shary grew out of that. For us, not as a product. We use it daily, and that's why only what really takes something off your plate ends up in it.

What it costs

30 days free, then one subscription for the whole household

No stripped-down version, no feature behind a lock. Both tiers can do everything. The only difference is how many devices join.

What it costs when nobody remembers

  • The flight. A passport that expired two days before you travel cannot be fixed at the desk. A short-haul flight is easily 200 euros, and that is per person.
  • A year of organising. The sign-up deadline for a nursery place comes round once a year. Miss it, and you plan the next year again from the start.
  • 1,300 euros per parent. In Austria, the childcare allowance is cut by that much if a single parent-child pass check-up is not documented in time, and it can only be filed up to the child's 15th month.

This is not here to put you under pressure. It is the yardstick that €1.67 a month should be measured against.

Does my partner have to install the app too?

That's exactly what shary is built for. The second person installs the app and scans a QR code, that's it. No account, no email, no password. It works solo too, but it shines as a pair.

What happens after the 30 days?

Nothing is lost. Without unlocking, the household becomes read-only: all entries stay visible and exportable, new entries and reminders pause until you unlock.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes, shary is on the App Store. Access is tied to the household, not the device, so a mix works too: one parent on iPhone, one on Android, both see the same thing.

Is the app available in English?

Yes, shary is fully translated into English. When you set up your household you pick a country: Austria, Germany and Switzerland start in German, the United Kingdom and "rest of the world" switch the whole app to English. How safe is my children's data?

Health data is stored encrypted, transmitted only over HTTPS, and the server is in Austria. No tracking, no ads, no sharing with third parties. Each household sees only its own data.

Why no account and no password?

Because we want to know as little about you as possible. We have neither your email nor a password. You connect through an invite code, and you can save that invite in the app at any time.

What if I lose my phone?

Your data and your unlock live with the household on the server, not on the device. With the saved invite you're back on a new phone in a minute, without anything missing.
